Forecasting the money multiplier and its implications for monetary control

The author has tried to test the predictive ability of various money multiplier models for Nigeria for the period 1962-73, using quarterly data. Section I reviews the literature on the multiplier approach to money stock determination. Section II specifies and estimates some multiplier models.
