The use of science in underdeveloped countries

The viewpoint of this paper is that of one whoendeavours, through the use of science, to help create an environment in which industry in all its forms can grow up within a healthy human society, with special reference to tropical Africa. Its subject-matter is elaborated in a book which the author is preparing for the governments which participate in CTCA (Commission for Technical Co-operation in Africa South of the Sahara).
