Professional Ethics Required to Office Manager in a Changing Office Environment


This study was a build up of additional information as an extension of knowledge in secretarial profession. It studied the profession ethics required of secretaries in changing office environment. Because it has been observed with total dismay that some secretaries are ignorant of the set of code of conduct that is required of them in discharging their duties. This research work will enlighten the secretarial profession to the public. It also serves as a guide to employers in recruiting. The secretaries should display the required code of conduct in carrying out jobs in the work place. The secretary often times faced with problems that tend to hinder her from being ethical. It is therefore not out of place to conclude that the secretary, though may encounter obstacle in trying to be principled in the work place, should strive to handle these obstacles diplomatically as professional ethics has a great positive impact on the job of the secretary.
